Formerly known as Cwm Chwefru Cottages, the Lake Cottages at Cwm Chwefru is nestled in a secluded Welsh valley, our cottages sit within beautiful grounds beside a wonderful fishing lake. With a relaxing river running by and rolling green hills, we are an ideal location to immerse yourself in the unspoiled beauty of Wales.
There is plenty to do on-site with our comprehensive facilities, such as a heated swimming pool, sauna, indoor games room, tennis court, and outdoor play area. All there to enhance your stay.
Surrounded by rolling green valleys, ancient forests, and miles of open countryside, the Lake Cottages are perfect for outdoor enthusiasts and relaxation seekers. Whether you’re here for peace and tranquillity or an adventure in the great outdoors, our location combines the best of both worlds: quiet, scenic seclusion with easy access to many of Wales’ historic attractions and natural wonders.
Comprehensive Range Of Accommodation To Suit All Your Needs
The configuration of our cottages is wide and varied to suit most needs, it starts from a studio cottage that sleeps two with a travel cot if needed. We have seven one-bedroom cottages that can sleep up to four guests, and four two-bedroom cottages that can sleep up to six guests. For group bookings, the Lake Cottages can accommodate up to 54 guests!

Our indoor facilities are designed to make your stay as comfortable, enjoyable, and entertaining as possible—no matter the weather! After a day exploring the beauty of Mid Wales, unwind in our heated indoor swimming pool, or relax in our sauna, an ideal way to end the day.
If you’re looking for a cozy spot to unwind, head to our games room. Stocked with a selection of books, board games, and DVDs. Challenge friends or family to a friendly game of pool or table tennis. With something to keep everyone entertained, our games room is perfect for rainy days or quiet evenings indoors.
Each cottage is also equipped with high-speed Starlink Wi-Fi, keeping you connected so you can plan your next adventure, share memories from your stay, or simply unwind with your favorite streaming shows after a day outdoors.
